Technology Know-how Transfer, Innovation and R&D Projects

  1. FAETHON (Unified Intelligent Access to Heterogeneous Audiovisual Content, IST-1999-20502)- Exploitation and Technology Implementation Plan. Innovatia undertook, on behalf of the Institute of Communications and Computer Systems of the National Technical University (NTUA) in Athens, Greece, the elaboration of the exploitation and technology implementation plan concerning the commercialisation of PHAETHON's project results. Duration: 09.2003 - 01.2004.
  2. Technology Foresight in Central Macedonia. Innovatia is managing the project, on behalf of the Research Committee of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. The project is the first regional foresight exercise in Greece, running under the "Excellence in Central Macedonia 2002-2003" programme, funded by ERDF's Innovative Actions. Duration: 01/2003-12/2004.
  3. Technical Support to the Association of Information Technology Companies of Northern Greece (SEPVE) for the implementation of "Clusters of High Technology Companies" under the "Excellence in Central Macedonia 2002-2003" programme, funded by the ERDF's Innovative Actions. Duration: 10/2002 - 12/2004.
  4. Preparation of educational material and online lectures in the field of business planning, delivered to ICT companies executives under the framework of the project "Personnel Training in Innovation Management - e-learning", part of the "Excellence in Central Macedonia 2002-2003" programme, funded by ERDF's Innovative Actions. The project was jointly developed with Euroconsultants SA. Duration: 01 - 12/2003.
  5. Technical support services to the 2nd Regional Health System (PESY) of Central Macedonia-Phase 1: Preparation of the tender documents and technical specifications for the procurement of hardware, software and services of a €6,5 mil. Integrated Information System, under the Operational Programme "Information Society", funded by the 3rd Community Support Framework for Greece. Duration: 08 - 10/2002.
  6. EC/DG XVI/RECITE II - InnoRegio Project: Innovatia's consultants conducted 25 Technology Audits at companies in the Region of Central Macedonia on behalf of the Urban and Regional Innovation Research Unit (URENIO) at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Duration: 01 - 12/2000.
  7. Leader II- Belti@sis: Improvement of health care at rural areas using information technology at Health Centers and Rural Infirmaries in the Region of Central Macedonia. User requirements analysis for the software system handling patients' medical records, preparation of tender documents, launch of tender procedure for the procurement of a distributed EMR software system on behalf of the Development Agency of Eastern Thessaloniki SA (Anatoliki). Duration: 01 - 12/2000.
  8. Information Society Technologies (IST)-"Regional Secure Healthcare Networks- RESHEN-IST-2000-25354". Experimental use of Public Key Infrastructures at Rural Infirmaries in the Region of Central Macedonia and evaluation of the encryption solutions of medical records on behalf of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), Athens. Duration: 01 - 12/2000.
  9. INNOTender-IPS029037PR. Validation of mechanisms to stimulating the establishment of innovative firms at regional level. Innovatia developed the project workplan in Central Macedonia on behalf of the Urban and Regional Innovation Research Unit (URENIO) at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. The project led to the creation of three spin-off companies in Central Macedonia. Duration: 09.2000-06.2002.

  4. BIOZOKAT SA, Katerini: elaboration and implementation of a business plan for the stabilization and further development of the company. Duration: 03 - 04/2001.
  5. Traffic SA: Car Park Project at Thessaloniki: Business Plan for the establishment and operation of a 40 places parking in Thessaloniki under the framework of the Greek Investment Law L.2601/98, a total investment value of €170.000. Duration: 09/2001 - 12/2002.
  6. ANTISEL SA, Thessaloniki: Elaboration and implementation of a business plan for the geographic expansion of the company and its potential co-financing through equity and/ or venture capital funds. Duration: 03 - 08/2001.
  7. Solominidis Bros, Thessaloniki: Elaboration and implementation of business plan under the Operational Program of the Ministry of Development, Athens on "Competitiveness" Action 2.7.1 (Support of integrated business plans for very small enterprises). Estimated completion date: 10/2004.

  1. Ministry of Macedonia-Thrace: New Data Network: Design of the Ministry's Data Network, including user requirement analysis, technical specifications for equipment, hardware, software and services to be provided, preparation of complete tender documents. Duration: 10 - 11/2003.
  2. General Secretariat of Communications, Ministry of Transport & Communications, Athens-Technical Advisor for the provision of Advanced Telecommunications Services to the Citizens in the framework of Action 4.3 (Categories 2, 3 & 5) of the Operational Programme "Information Society". The project has been undertaken in collaboration with the RadioCommunications Laboratory, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Duration: 06-10/2003.
  3. General Secretariat of Communications, Ministry of Transport & Communications, Athens-Technical Advisor for the development of e-Inclusion projects in the Framework of Action 4.3, Operational Programme "Information Society". The project has been undertaken in collaboration with the Telecommunications Laboratory, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Duration: 05 - 08/2003.
  4. General Secretariat of Communications, Ministry of Transport & Communications, Athens-Technical Advisor for the "Hellas Broadband" project, aiming to provide broadband connectivity to less favourable areas in Greece under Action 4.2 of OPIS. Innovatia contributed to the analysis of the baseline situation in Greece, evaluation of various business models for the development of broadband, and the preparation of the project's technical specifications and tender documents, including projects for a total budget in excess of €2,0 mio. The project has been undertaken in collaboration with the Radio Communications Laboratory, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Duration: 01 -05/2003.
  5. GU Hellas SA, Thessaloniki: Development and implementation of an inventory and order management system. Duration: 01 - 06/2003.
  6. Alpha Pliroforiki SA, Thessaloniki: financial valuation of the company on behalf of its owners to buyback other shareholders' equity. Duration: 01 - 03/2003.
  7. Water and Sewage Authority of Thessaloniki: Re-engineering and optimization of the procedures granting permits for the connection of residential and industrial buildings to the water and sewage networks. Duration: 03 - 06/2003.
  8. Volos' Port Authority SA: Cost-benefit analysis, feasibility study and investment valuation concerning the investment in infrastructure improvements at the port of Volos. The project has been undertaken in collaboration with the Laboratory of Transportation, Faculty of Civil Engineering, University of Thessaly, Volos. Duration: 05 - 09/2003.
  9. Ministry of Transport and Communications, Greece: Scientific Advisor in the field of Information Society during the Hellenic Presidency of the Telecoms Council. The project provided technical assistance and expertise on issues related to the development of eEurope2005 Action Plan and other related subjects. Innovatia was a subcontractor to the main advisor, the Telecommunications Laboratory of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Duration: 04/2002 - 08/2003.
  10. "RISI+ in Central Macedonia: Telemedicine Pilot". Implementation study for an upgraded distrubuted data network for the provision of e-healthcare services on behalf of the Development Agency of Eastern Thessaloniki SA (Anatoliki). Duration: 01-03/2001.
  11. Cluster projects for E-commerce, 3rd Community Framework Program for Greece Technical and Technology Advisor to the Traders' Association of Thessaloniki for projects in e-commerce. Duration: 02/2001 - on going.
  12. Municipal Water & Sewage Authority of Eastern Olympos, Leptokaria, Pieria: Elaboration of a study for the upgrade of their IS infrastructure to the use of Euro. Duration: 10 - 11/2001.
  13. GU Hellas SA: Study for the improvement and upgrade of the warehouse's information management system with the simultaneous introduction of barcode technology. Duration: 11 - 12/2001.
  14. DG Regional Policy: Regional Information Society Plus Initiative (RISI+): Innovatia undertook, on behalf of the Regional Development Fund of Central Macedonia, the financial management of the initiative according to the European Commission's guidelines and the respective rules of cost eligibility. Duration: 11/2002 - 9/2002.
